Take Time Out for Tea at the Vintage Garden Tea Room

The weeks leading up to the holidays can be stressful and overwhelming.  With so many items on the to-do list it’s difficult to find the time to slow down.  If you are looking to take time out for yourself and catch up with a girlfriend or have a holiday lunch with your sister, the Vintage Garden Tea Room at the corner of Pine and Locke Streets in Hamilton is the perfect location.

Lodged in a Victorian-era home, the tea room’s décor and ambiance will make you feel as if you are enjoying tea in the comfort of your own home.  With pretty chandeliers and original architectural features the tea room is a warm, comfortable space.  There’s something about the atmosphere that instantly makes you feel (and behave) like a true “lady”.

The menu includes traditional high tea with your choice of tea or coffee, assorted tea sandwiches (who doesn’t love little crust-less sandwiches?), fresh baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream (a must-try if you have never had it) and an assortment of sweets.  Your tea will be served in your very own traditional China pot and the choices are plentiful.  Additionally, the menu includes hot soups, delicious crust-less quiches, a variety of sandwiches and salads and homemade baked goods.  Tea accessories and loose leaf tea are also for sale and a take-out menu is available.

Would you like to know what your future holds?  The Vintage Garden Tea Room has a tea-leaf reader on staff who will provide a reading for twelve dollars.  Sandee is available Tuesdays and Fridays from 11:00 a.m. and 2:30 p.m.  Calling ahead for reservations is essential.

If you are looking for a special lunch spot (and you’d like to bring out your inner lady), then give the Vintage Garden Tea Room a try.  You can find it at the corner of Pine and Locke Streets in Hamilton.
