Places to Eat in Hamilton: Café Limoncello – A Gem on Ottawa Street North

Cafe Limoncello

Looking for a great place to eat in Hamilton?  Look no further!  Located in Hamilton’s design and textile district on Ottawa Street North, Café Limoncello offers a warm atmosphere, delicious Italian fare and desserts to die for.

Named for the famous Italian lemon liqueur and painted bright yellow, the cafe can’t be missed as you stroll down Ottawa Street.  Cafe Limoncello is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner and offers authentic Italian cuisine and an impressive wine list.  You’ll find traditional dishes like Veal Parimigiana and Fettuccine Alfredo and delectable thin crust pizzas with gourmet toppings.   Salads, antipasti and soups are also on offer as well as delicious paninis and seafood dishes.  All pizzas and pastas are also offered as gluten-free for those with a sensitivity, allergy or preference.

There are always daily specials that are unique and affordable.  Café Limoncello’s food quality and taste is superior but it’s refreshing to know that the prices won’t break the bank.   A great spot for lunch with the girls or dinner with the kids, the cafe offers kid-friendly meals like spaghetti bolognese and also has high-chairs for use.

The café is always busy but lunch and dinner reservations are accepted.  In the warmer months, a patio overlooking the East Kiwanis Place Park (complete with giant thimbles and manholes shaped like buttons), offers dining al-fresco.

Café Limoncello also has a private room with on-site catering.  Located inside the café, the Bella Banquet Room is a beautiful space with gas fireplace and its own bar.  The room can be booked for private functions like birthday parties or bridal showers and also offers an LCD projector and screen for corporate functions and meetings.   They also offer large and small-scale off-site catering for everything from private dinner parties to weddings.

If you’re looking for a casual atmosphere, authentic Italian food and good service, then add Café Limoncello to your list of must-eat spots in Hamilton.
